Profile

In our laboratory we study the role of purinergic signaling in the differentiation of CD8+ T lymphocytes, with the aim of promoting the development of new cellular immunotherapies against cancer. We have discovered that CD73, one of the enzymes that regulates the production of extracellular adenosine, reduces the cytotoxic potential of CD8+ T lymphocytes. However, CD73 also has a positive impact on the regulation of lymphocyte survival.
