The Third Edition of the Multimedia Workshop for Teachers 2010 finishes successfully

The Scientific Educative Multimedia Workshops for Teachers conducted by the Eureka Program of the Fundación Ciencia para la Vida, ended on a positive note.

This activity aims to promote science in the classrooms in an attractive and enjoyable way in addition to promoting and improving the education tools for science teachers in secondary schools, improving the educator’s competence in order to have better educated and motivated students.

The workshops took place during January and brought together more than 60 teachers from Valdivia, Osorno, Linares, Talca, Talagante, Viña del Mar, Arica and Santiago. They were able to interact with renowned national scientists. On Tuesday Dr. Mario Rosemblatt presented the interactive Immunologic System, “La Patrulla Celular”. On Wednesday Dr. Enrique Brandan talked about the interactive Muscular Dystrophy. The final presentation was given by the 2008 National Prize of Sciences, Dr. Nibaldo Inestrosa, who gave a seminar about his research into Alzheimer´s disease

At the end of the event teachers received an audiovisual set  as teaching material support, to be used in their classrooms.
