Chile and Germany have been strengthening their ties in the field of science and have already signed four bilateral agreements to promote scientific cooperation, substantially increasing the number of scholarships available to Chilean students. A new program has been recently started to implement a “Chilean – German Postgraduate Plan” to carry out joint doctoral programs in strategic and priority areas at renowned universities in both countries in order to strengthen and broaden the basis of this bilateral cooperation.
