Mario Rosemblatt, PhD
BIOGRAPHY
Mario Rosemblatt earned his degree in Biochemistry from the University of Chile in 1966 and his Ph.D. from Wayne State University, Michigan. In 1973 he was appointed Research Fellow in Medicine at Harvard University. In 1983, Dr. Rosemblatt returned to Chile and joined the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Chile where he organized one of the leading Chilean research groups in Immunology.
He has been Invited Professor at the University of Paris, and more recently Adjunct Professor of Macro-Immunology at Dartmouth Medical School (USA). He is Immunology professor at the Universidad de Chile and Universidad Andrés Bello where he has acted as advisor to several graduate and undergraduate students. He has been recipient of numerous local and international grants and awards. In 1997 he became Executive Director of Fundación Ciencia & Vida. He is a member of the Chilean Academy of Sciences.
