My undergraduate specialty is Engineering in Molecular Biotechnology from Universidad de Chile, then I made my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology in Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and specialized in skeletal muscle diseases specifically in finding molecular mechanisms that lead to skeletal muscle fibrosis and finding new therapeutical targets my advisor was Dr. Enrique Brandan in the Basal project Center for Aging and Regeneration. I won a Post-Doctoral ANID project in collaboration with Dr. Carlos Vío and Dr. Brandan. Now I am an associated professor in Centro Integrativo de Biología y Química Aplicada at Universidad Bernardo O´Higgins and working on an ANID Initiation Fondecyt project finding new targets for muscular aging. Since 2019 I am the Director of research of the same institution, and CoDirector of institutional InES for I+D project (Innovation for superior education).
