ELISEO O. CAMPOS

Eliseo O. Campos obtained his title of Medical Technologist and later his Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Chile. He has extensive research and teaching management experience through his role as manager in a leading research laboratory and the establishment of academic units in several national universities. He was Executive Coordinator for the “Center of Excellence in Biomedicine” in the southernmost city of Punta Arenas where he supervised infrastructure and laboratory design, acquired scientific equipment, and acted as a technical-scientific consultant. He has been a professor and coordinator of courses in several national universities in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology. He has organized numerous symposia, workshops, and postgraduate courses aimed at students and professionals in the field of Human Health. In the area of outreach, he directs the Science School of the Chilean Society for Cell Biology where he organizes science workshops for elementary school children as well as for college students.
