Bus ConCiencia: Science-on-the-go

Bus ConCiencia, a joint initiative with Fundación EcoScience, is a laboratory inside a bus that takes experimental science and inquiry-based learning to rural and disadvantaged schools throughout Chile. The program was developed through a partnership with the Science Education Program (SEP) of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and offers free workshops to teachers and students from the third to sixth grade. To date, 16,000 children have been served by this program, including 126 schools, seven pre-schools, 10 science and technology festivals and 26 other collaborations with institutions such as museums and universities.
