More than 20 students and Faculty from UCSF participated in the 7th version of the Science & Friendship Simposium
3/10/2011During October 3rd-7th, a new version of this International Meeting was carried out at Fundación Ciencia Vida with great success. The simposium seeks to strengthen research partnerships between researchers from Fundación and researchers from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
This 7th version of the Science & Friendship included visiting speakers such as UCSF’s Professors Hana El-Samad (Biochemistry & Biophysics), Ulrike Heberlein (Anatomy) and Kevan Shokat (Cellular and Mollecular Pharmacology) among 20 students from 4 doctoral programs of the university.
On behalf of Fundación and its local academic partners the conference included local speakers such as Professor Felipe Court (Biology, PUC), Assistant Professor Raquel Quatrini (Genome Biology, FCV) and Associate Professor Brigitte van Zundert (Biology, UNAB)
This event was funded by the MIFAB-II program, Andrés Bello University, Pontificia Universidad Catolica University, Fundación Ciencia Vida and Fundación EcoScience.
