Two researchers from Fundación are elected among the 100 Young Chilean Leaders of 2009

Rodrigo Pacheco and Daniela Sauma were selected as part of the “100 Young Chilean Leaders” of this year. The selection was conducted by Revista Sábado of El Mercurio newspaper in conjunction with the Center for Strategic Leadership of Adolfo Ibañez University. Each year a hundred people are chosen because they have undertaken a nationally relevant role in a significant field such as politics, science, arts, sports or architecture.

Daniela is dedicated to the study of a special type of immune system cells and their role in cancer disease. In turn, Rodrigo is pioneering into a new field of research called neuroimmune biology.

For Fundación, these nominations are not new, Sebastián Bernales in 2008 and Cristian Hernandez in 2007, both members of Fundación´s Executive Team, were honoured with this recognition.
