Executive Director of the Most Influential Environmental NGO in Washington Visits the Fundación

Carl Pope, Executive Director of Sierra Club, a foundation dedicated to the preservation and conservation of the environment, visited Fundación Ciencia para la Vida and Fundación Ecoscience on Friday January 30, within the context of a trip he made to the South of Chile.
Pope, has been actively involved for more of 30 years in the environmental movement and has been on the board of other organizations related to ecology such as the National Clean Air Coalition, California Common Cause, Public Interest Economics, Inc., among others.

Sierra Club is North America’s oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization with 1.3 million of members working together to protect the communities and the planet. Pope was accompanied by his wife Shanaz Taplin-Chinoy and enjoyed a helicopter tour of Santiago sponsored by Fundación Ecoscience.
